IRL & IPPG-CART is the internet’s largest automotive directory. IRL & PPG-CART may just be the best place for you to get information about car racing. This is an American based open-wheel racing series sanctioned body. This league has the best, in terms of consistency, engine package and chassis regulations. These rules have helped produce some of the closest finishes in any racing series. IRL, just like CART attracts big teams. The awarding of points in IRL & CART is based on the finishing point of the driver. Points separating the drivers are ten and five for the first three, the next six are separated by two points each while the following 8 are separated by one point each. From 18th to the 24th driver 12 points are awarded. There was once a split between the two bodies although it was resolved in 2008.
